The Arms of Georgios Ioannis Zacharopoulos

The armiger chose the black and silver of the shield to represent the duality of nature and man i.e. good/evil, male/female etc.

The Dragon eating its tail represents eternity and the never-ending cycle of life and death. It is also a representation of earth as the armiger’s family were farmers up to 1960.

The Fleur de lis represents a possible blood lineage to the French during their occupation of the armiger’s homeland of Arcadia in 1204.

The motto may be paraphrased as: To live is to fight in all aspects of life
