The Arms of the Baron of Fulwood and Dirleton and his heirs represents their
Jewish faith, love for Scotland and family name origins.
The Magen David Argent has been the symbol of Israel
and of the Jewish faith for ages past. The thistle slipped represents the
armiger’s pride for his country Scotland. The fructed pear tree eradicated
proper, represent the family name Pears or Pear Tree. The fleur-de-lis is a
true representation of his past in Europe and the favourite motif of the family.
The lion sejant Or, is also one of the oldest symbol of Judaism and the script
in Hebrew "Adonai Malech (“The Lord is King” in Hebrew letter") confess to his
faith: only the Lord is truly Noble and Faithful.
The Baron of Fulwood & Dirleton has traced his
family's lineage in back more than thirteen generations to a Juan Calderon (b.
1662, in Villa Ciervo, Salamanca, Spain who married Ana Sanchez, also from Villa
Ciervo, the family lived in the same area until 1901 when then immigrated to
Brazil.
The chapeau Gules, doubled ermine and the Baronial
Robe are representative of the armiger’s rank in the Nobility of Scotland as
Feudal Baron.
The armiger holds the titles of: The Baron of Fulwood & Dirleton, Feudal Lord of
Dirleton, Lord of the Manors of Colemere, Fulwood, Gresley, Repton, Morpeth
Castle. He is the Hon. Consul for
the Republic of Mozambique to The United States of America. |
