Charles Edward Sean Buchanan-Boardman

Arms: Azure, within a Bordure barry of nine, Argent and Gules, a Lion rampant guardant Argent holding in the dexter forepaw a quill Or feathered Argent and in the sinister forepaw an open book, the pages Proper fore edges and clasps Or, the lower clasp joined to a gold chain reflexed over the shoulder of the lion and terminating in a Bezant pierced trefoilwise, the pages inscribed in Black Letter SAPIENS QUI ASSIDUUS.

Crest: Out of a Coronet pallisady Or a demi Lion Azure grasping between its paws a closed book Gules fore edge and clasps Or the lower clasp joined to a gold chain reflexed over the shoulder of the Lion and terminating with a Bezant pierced trefoilwise.

Motto: Sapiens Qui Assiduus

Registration: The State Herald of South Africa, Registered under Government Notice No. 134 of 17th February 2006 (H4/3/4/798), Certification 3589 Dated July 7.

The Buchanan-Boardman armorial bearings represent the armigers dedication to continued education. He currently holds an AAS degree in Business Management and is studying Accountancy and Law.

The Silver Lion represents his Scottish and English heritage. Mr. Buchanan-Boardman is descended from many early American Colonists who came from England in the seventeenth and eighteenth century. He is descended from Colonel William Candler of Georgia who before the American Revolution served as a Captain in the Royal British Militia and later became a Colonel in the American Army; (9) Colonel William Candler m. Elizabeth Anthony born in 1736 Belfast, Ireland and died in 1787 Georgia, USA; (8) Daniel Candler m. Sara Slaughter; (7) John Kingston Candler m. Caroline Smith; (6) Martha Candler m. Francis Monroe Leatherman; (5) Carolina Leatherman m. Robert Rankin Boardman; (4) Marcellus Candler Boardman m. Bonnie Leota Conway; (3) Colonel Charles Robert Boardman m. Mary Darlene Head Patricia Danielle Boardman m. Larry Wayne Tarin; (1) Charles Edward Sean Buchanan-Boardman.
